(Richmond, VA) The Richmond Spiders defeated the Delaware Blue Hens 28-9 on Saturday to capture their 5th consecutive win and hand the Blue Hens their 1st loss of the season. Quarterback Camden Coleman led the Spiders in Rushing (10 Carries, 79 Yards, and 1 Touchdown) & Passing (16/23 .194 yards, 2 Touchdowns). Blue Hen's quarterback Zach Maker went 21/43, 251 yards, and one touchdown.



Nate Reed's 33-yard FG with 10:53 remaining in the 1st Quarter to put the Blue Hens up 3-0. On the following possession, the Spiders responded with a 7-play 75-yard drive capped off by a Camden Coleman QB Keeper for 1 yard to the Spiders on put the board. Brandon Peskin kicked the Extra point to put the Spiders up 7-3. The Spider defense forced a fumble as Blue Hens QB Zach Marker scrambled for 8 yards, and Jamar Hodges forced a fumble, which Jabril Hayes recovered with 3:39 remaining in the 1st quarter. The Spiders held the Blue Hens to 71 net yards in the 1st quarter.



On the 1st play of the 2nd quarter, Camden Coleman connected with wide receiver Nick Degennaro for a 23-yard touchdown to cap a 9-play 82-yard drive with 14:56 remaining in the 2nd quarter. Brandon Peskin's PAT attempt was good as the Spiders led 14-3. On the following possession, Camden Coleman ran for 59 yards to put the Spiders at the Blue Hens one yard-line, Zach Palmer-Smith ran in a 1-yard touchdown, and Brandon Peskin's PAT attempt was good as the Spiders extended their lead to 21-3 with 11:14 remaining. The Blue Hens would respond as Zach Marker completed a 12-yard pass to Phil Lutz for a touchdown as the trailed 21-9 (2-point attempt was no good) with 9:05 remaining. In the following possession, the Spiders scored on a Cam Coleman 6-yard pass to Tight End Matt Robbert ( 11 Play 75 yards) to put the Spiders up 28-9 (Brandon Peskin's PAT attempt was good). Quantraill Morris-Walker intercepted Zach Maker's pass in the 4 Quarter as the Spiders preserved their 5th consecutive win.

(Richmond, VA) The Richmond Spiders won their 4th consecutive game on Saturday as they defeated the North Carolina A&T Aggies 20-17. The Spiders ground attack included Zach Palmer-Smith, who ran for 200 yards, and Andrew King, who ran for 100 yards.



The Aggies got on the board first as Andrew Brown kicked a 26-yard Field Goal to put the Aggies up 3-0 with 4:05 left in the 1st quarter. The Spiders ended an 8-play drive to start the 2nd Quarter as they fell a yard short on 4th Down. Following the turnover on downs, the Aggies responded. Justin Fomby connected with Ger-Cari Caldwell to cap a 9-play, 97-yard drive that put the Aggies up 10-0 with 9:24 remaining in the 2nd quarter.


On the following possession, Andrew King ran for a 63-yard touchdown to put the Spiders on the scoreboard as they trailed the Aggies 10-7 (Extra Point attempt good). On the final play of the 2nd quarter, Brandon Peskin kicked a 33-yard field goal to tie the game 10-10 at halftime.


The Spiders took the lead as Brandon Peskin kicked a 20-yard field goal to put the Spiders up 13-10 in the 3rd quarter. Jabril Hayes forced a fumble by Daniel Coles, which Chance Graves recovered with 10:04 remaining in the 3rd quarter. Zach Palmer Smith punched in an 8-yard rushing Touchdown to cap a 6-play 79-yard drive to extend the Spiders' lead to 10 (20-10 with 4:04 remaining in the 3rd quarter. The Aggies struck back as Justin Fomby connected with Anthony Rucker for a 38-yard touchdown reception. The Aggies cut the Spiders' lead to 3 points (20-17, 8:20 remaining in the 4th Quarter. The Spiders held on as they won their 4th consecutive game. The Spiders have a Bye-week next week and will face Deleware on Saturday, October 19th at Robins Stadium at 3:30.

In July, the Rams released their non-conference schedule, which included a November 4th matchup vs. Bellarmine to tip off the regular season schedule, appearances in the 2024 Veterans Classic, Shriners Children Hospital Charleston Classic, Jack Jones Classic, and a matchup with former CAA rival William & Mary on December 22nd.


VCU will appear in 15 national television appearances in the Atlantic 10 conference slate. The Rams will appear on CBS Network (9 times), Peacock (1 time) & ESPN Family of Networks ( 5 times).



VCU will have a home-and-home series with Richmond, Dayton, St Louis, and St Bonaventure this season. The Rams begin conference play on December 31st as they will face St Bonaventure on the road.

The Rams will face crosstown rival Richmond Spiders on February 1st (CBSSN) at home & February 25th at the Robins Center (CBSSN).


The Rams matchups between Dayton (Feb 7th @ Dayton & March 7th @VCU) will be featured on the ESPN family of networks Friday Night Showcase Game. The Rams will travel to Duquesne in a rematch of the 2024 A-10 championship game on March 4th.


The Rams will hit the road @ Loyola Chicago (Jan 4th CBSSN), @Saint Joesph's (Jan 17, ESPN Networks), @Rhode Island (Jan 21. CBSSN), @Saint Lous ( Jan 28, CBSSN) and @George Washington (Feb 12th, Peacock).


The Rams will host Fordham (Jan 8th), Saint Louis (Jan 14), St Bonaventure (Jan 24, ESPN Networks), La Salle (Feb 4, CBSSN), UMass (Feb 19, CBSSN), George Mason (Feb 22, CBSSN), Davidson (Feb, 28, ESPN Network).
